was /were 后面加動詞時 只能加doing 或done
加doing 表示過去進行時；加done 表示被動語態。如：
I was playing tennis at this time yesterday. 昨天這個時候我正在打網球。
I was laughed at by my classmates. 我被同學嘲笑了。
所以表達“我以前打網球”應該是：
I played tennis.或：I used to play tennis.
第二句話是被動語態，也是過去時的被動語態。
被動語態主結構是“be +done” 其中的be 隨著時態的要求而改變。
after doing sth. 中的after 在這里是介詞，介詞后的動詞都需要加ing ，因為“介賓”的需要。介詞后邊要接名詞或相當于名詞的詞作這個介詞的賓語，動詞加ing 就是把動詞給名詞化了。如：
I am good at drawing pictures.
Thanks for helping me.
現在完成時
但是finish是完成，結束的意思，好像沒有現在完成時
如果finishing前面是am/is/are，則是現在進行時；
如果說finishing前面是was/were，則是過去進行時；
如果finishing前面是have/has been，則是現在完成進行時；
如果finishing前面是had been，則是過去完成進行時。
再看writing：
finish后面接動詞，動詞要加ing變成動名詞。動名詞是非謂語動詞中的一種，是由動詞轉化成的名詞。這個writing不是時態問題，因為只有謂語動詞才有時態。
