詞語用法：
ensure既可用作及物動詞，也可用作不及物動詞。用作及物動詞時，可接名詞和that從句作賓語，that從句可用陳述語氣，也可用虛擬語氣。ensure也可接雙賓語，其間接賓語可以轉換為介詞for的賓語。用作不及物動詞時，后可接介詞from〔against〕，表示“保護某人不受危害”。
當指“保險”時，要用insure，而不用ensure；指“保證”時，多用ensure，后加that從句。從句中可用shall或should，但常用屬于現在時態的動詞和屬于過去時態的動詞來代替shall和should。
